IHOP OBTAINS NEW PROPERTY PROPHESIED 25 YEARS AGO

In our staff meeting Monday, Oct 22nd, Mike Bickle shared some exciting news.  IHOP had just been given 120 acres to build on.  Now this in itself is a miracle, but wait until you read the whole story.

 25 years ago Bob Jones ( A well known prophetic voice) met with a young Pastor named Mike Bickle.  Mike was a Senior Pastor of a large church in Overland Park Kansas…a wealthy suburb of Kansas City.  Bob told Mike he was a youth pastor that was going to lead a significant prayer and worship movement. A youth movement in Grandview MO.  Grandview is a much poorer neighborhood in Kansas City.  Bob told Mike that he would be placed next to Harry S Truman, and the spirit of Truman would be on Mike.  Truman was a major player after WWII in helping ISRAEL become a nation.  Without Truman the jews would not have had a nation to return to in the Middle East.  Mike says he did not believe anything Bob was saying, and that he did not understand half of it.

Fast forward to today.  IHOP is a 24/7 prayer and worship ministry made up mostly by youth.  IHOP has an “ISRAEL MANDATE” to pray for the nation of Israel.  Not long ago a young jewish couple walked in IHOP.  They were not Christians, but curious.  They owned 120 acres of Harry S Truman’s farm land located near IHOP just east of a major Highway in Kansas City…HWY 71. 

The couple are so struck by the spirit of prayer and worship they decide they would offer this land to IHOP. They were looking to sell it to the city.   They lowered the price way below it’s value.  A man from DALLAS TEXAS came to visit IHOP and heard about this. He decided he would buy the land for IHOP and also pay all fees in the sale.  So IHOP is getting this land without any debt or cost.

The young jewish man’s Dad had bought the land in 1958 from Harry Truman.  They closed on the land on January 28th, 1958.  It so happens IHOP will close on the land on January 28th, 2008.  EXACTLY 50 years later to the day.

This 50 represents JUBILEE.  Jubilee is being debt free, and when the land returns to it’s rightful owner.  IHOP will build a new MISSIONS BASE on this land.  It will allow IHOP to build a wonderful campus for the schools IHOP offers.  Also other facilities needed to handle the growth of IHOP.

Time to press into intimacy

II Timothy chapter 3 is a must read.  This chapter speaks of “perilous times” in the last days.  The Bible describes these times in a very specific and graphic manner.  We are created to love.  We are created to worship. In the last days men and women will be embracing a counterfeit love and a counterfeit intimacy.  God is a jealous lover of our hearts.  He will not be satisfied until He has ALL of what we have.  A song we sing at IHOP in Kansas City says  “You won’t relent until You have it all…my heart is yours”.  When the singers begin singing this chorus over and over my heart becomes gripped with this truth. Psalm 4 speaks of how we are “set apart” for Him.  II Timothy speaks of an anti-christ spirit in the last days that will begin an assault never before seen upon mankind.  Today pornography is more available than ever before in our history.  Movies, TV, the internet, billboards, shopping mall display cases all hurl porn at us.  Lust is the counterfeit of love.  Self-aborbtion and Idolitry is the counterfeit of intimacy.  We must not be decieved.  The enemy is as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour.   Now is the time for men of God to rise and say “NO ” to pornography.  This spirit will come down when men rise and say “not in my life, my home, my city, or my nation”.  Fathers must come forth in the church and equip boys and young men to navigate through the mine fields and traps that would pull the heart away from true intimacy.  The Lord has been speaking to me how we as men must learn how to “love rightly”.  How we must learn how to move in true intimacy, and reject the tempation of porn and the counterfeit love the enemy is spewing out.  God desires our love and He will not relent until He has it all.   I encourage you to read II Timothy chapter 3 and ask the Lord to open your eyes to the age we are living in.  Ask Him to show you how to nurture and maintain a heart of intimacy with Him and the ones you love.  He will NOT relent until He has it all.

40 Day prayer and fasting for “The Call”

We are in the beginnings of a 40 day fasting and prayer time that will end on 07/07/07 in Nashville, Tn.   It is a time to pray and fast for revival in our nation.  1967 (40 years ago) was a key year in our nation where a generation made a turn from God embracing free sex, drugs, anti-war move, racism, legalized abortion and more.  2007… a generation later, is a time God is calling on the Body of Christ to repent for these last 40 years.  40 days of fasting and prayer to break the stronghold of 40 years of rebellion and idol worship in America.   Please visit www.thecall.com  and click “about” to read more of the focus of this fast.  Our family will be joining this fast, and we will be in Nashville on 07/07/07 to cry out for revival in our land.   Many churches are gathering in their sanctuaries on that day to join with those in Nashville in prayer and fasting.  Thousands in our nation will be joining together to pray for breakthrough.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade Outreach at IHOP-KC

Kansas City has the 3rd largest St. Patrick’s Day parade in the nation.  Around 200,000 people usually attend.  IHOP this year entered a float, and much prayer over the months preceeding the parade was offered up in the prayer room for this huge outreach event.  Over 400 IHOP staff participated.  The plan was the IHOP float would be a mountain with an actor (from IHOP) dressed as St.Patrick standing on the mountain top.  He would then in authentic accent preach 45 second sermons focusing on repentance and coming to Jesus as savior and Lord.  An IHOP worship team was also aboard the float, and when the actor would pause after preaching, the worship team would play a worship song declaring the love of God and the freedom from sin He brings.  400 IHOP staff marched behind the float all in green IHOP logo tee-shirts.  The marchers would sing with the worship team while marching.  Dancing and celebrating His love the marchers waved green and white banners in unison.  It was an awesome site.  The IHOP float with the 400 marchers was the largest entry in the parade with 115 total floats entered.

Before and after the parade, the 400 plus staff went out in groups of 3-4 among the gathered crowd.  The IHOP teams did prophetic evangelism,  prayers for salvation, prayers for healing, and sharing testimonies of God’s love and power to set us free from sin.   Many were saved and healed!!!

 The Prayer Room at IHOP is now in it’s 7th year of non-stop live (no recorded music) 24/7 prayer and worship for our city and the cities of the earth.  We now are moving more in our mandate to outreach in the city and beyond.   The “one-two” punch of night and day prayer, coupled with going out to win the lost is a mandate of IHOP.

We are looking forward to more city events we can participate in and bring the power of Jesus Christ.  IHOP is now taking teams to do prohetic evangelism each weekend following our Saturday night services.

Pray for us as we continue to pierce the darkness 24/7 and cry out for revival in our nation.

The vision? A time to pray as never before

I just want to say a personal thanks to all of you who partner with our ministry.  Our vision in this season is to bless and help build the night and day prayer movement that Mike Bickle began in Kansas City.  Our heart is to someday see the Lord use us in helping build a Restoration Center that will allow the hurt, broken and burned out be restored.  So many pastors, leaders and people in general are falling into the traps of pornography, addictions, adultery, and burn out from a “out of order” ministry works mindset.

For our nation this is a time of WAR.  The war on terror, and the war in IRAQ is raging. Our nation is becomming more devided and unsure of what our direction should be.  One of the mandates of IHOP is to pray night and day for our President, leaders, and those overseas in harm’s way.  If we do not give ourselves in prayer….continually….night and day we could lose hope, and lose this war.

America’s security is not in it’s military strength, although that is very important.  America’s security is in her belief in God.  Her willingness to bow her knee as a nation before a holy and just God.   Your partnership  with us joins you with the prayer room in Kansas City.  It links you with the night and day prayer movement in a significant way. 

Not everyone can quit a job and move to Kansas City, or another city and join a Missions Base, but everyone can partner in this ministry in a very real way.

It is a time for us to do warfare….not all of us with tanks and guns….but with the prayers that will avail much.

Welcome to my Blog

Thank you for visiting our website, and welcome to my personal Blog.  My heart is to try to communicate my heart, and what I see God doing with IHOP, JER 333 Ministries, my family and more as the Lord leads.  God is on the move, and communication is so important.  I don’t want just to send a newsletter once a month to a few people.  I want to share what I  see God do with all who are interested.  Debbie will have her own blog page as well.  Those of you who know her, know she is a natural to communicate so well what she sees and feels.  I want to read that one regularly!!!

I hope to get some pictures going on the site of ministry as it happens.  So I will keep you posted.  I will have “catagories” you can visit on the blog page, such as “IHOP Conferences” where I will post ongoing reports of the international conferences.  We will have a  “PARTNERS”  blog catagory where those of you give monthly support can read messages designed for you, and I encourage you as partners to write blogs in reply so our community of supporters can come together to report of God’s goodness from various locations.
